Immersion Test

About Testing

The market for lithium-ion batteries is growing rapidly – and therefore also the need for specialized tests. Having been involved in this field of technology from the very beginning, our customers benefit not just from our experience, but also from our flexibility and ability to adopt tests to specific needs.

No matter if you are a start-up company, development service provider or OEM – we will be happy to advise you on what you need for your battery testing system.

Immersion Test

One of the more specialized tests for battery systems is the immersion test.
Our facility not only supports a basic immersion test, but with our specialized test setup, we are able to simulate varying environmental conditions.
This allows us to cover a wider range of specialized tests we can perform.

At the immersion test, for example, we are able to completely submerge a test object with a weight of 2000 kg under water within 5 seconds.

Supported Standards for Immersion Test:

SAE J2464, SAE J2929, ISO 12405, UL 2480, Freedom CAR, KMVSS, QC/T 743, etc.

Environmental Conditions

  • Salt Content: 3,5 %, 5 %
  • Maximum DUT Weight: 2000 kg
  • Time for complete Immersion: 5 sec.
  • Water Temperature: 0-60°C
  • DUT Temperature: 0°-60°C
  • Active Cooling
